First, the old Zope2 system used an earlier version of the same XML syntax. Much of what we’ve changed in the new system is to remove presentational control (fonts, colors, etc) from the syntax and generalize it slightly.

Second, I am very glad to see you’re interested in the system, because we have some deep plans for using CC licenses.
