good for you, hope you find something better. i’m sure that once you’re gone, your unit will sit vacant for months on end like all the others that are empty right now… it pleases me to see them losing money because they are too stubborn to realize that rents have fallen and their concept of “market value” is about two years out of date!

Not solely because of this, but it definitely entered the equation, perhaps speeding up the decision making process. I don’t particularly like my unit, don’t like the way the building is managed (or not), and don’t care to give them my money. So I’m “voting with my feet” and going elsewhere.

you’re moving out because of this, or just moving out? i have been unhappy with them as landlords almost since i moved in, but still stick around because i like the apartment itself, even though the way the building is managed drives me crazy sometimes.

Yeah, I was. Like I said, there wasn’t anything that felt directed at me. Obviously I’ve been disabused of that notion (and now I’m moving out).
